Vermouth culture is a big part of Spain, with “La Hora del Vermut” being widely celebrated, a time in the afternoon where locals enjoy a vermut on ice, alone, or with soda, along with a little snack of the pickled variety. Vermouth is a fortified wine that is so much more than your basic martini mix in, with many botanicals and base wines adding to the complexity and different flavour profiles based on region and tradition.
To enjoy them on their own, or as part of one of our flights (Victoria’s First Vermut Flight!), really showcases the intricacies of each different bottle.
We are proud of our vast, curated and constantly evolving vermouth list, and we love creating cocktails that truly showcase the flavours of the vermouths, along with an equally vast and curated gin selection.
At Matadora, we use only the finest quality and carefully curated ingredients, many of which we import directly from Spain to create a premium and authentic Spanish experience. We source remaining ingredients as locally as possible
We’ve returned many times to Spain since that first trip, to hone our Spanish culinary skills with cooking classes and exclusive winery tours, and continue to create new memories and inspiration in what has been a true adventure so far.
